  • IVAPEC METHOD OF ORGANIZATION AND STUDY IMPROVEMENT TECHNIQUES

Our method is mainly focused on creative pedagogy, since creativity is one of the most important capabilities that human beings have for their integral development.

The objective is to favor in the children a permanent climate of freedom, that propitiates, stimulates, promotes and values the divergent thinking, the discrepancy and the founded criticism. Therefore, therapists develop didactic strategies that take into account the different possibilities of acquiring knowledge that boys and girls have.

Our style of human behavioral and systemic cognitive therapy is based on the difficulties that affect the integral development of personnel and, for this reason, requires that the problems to be treated be clearly delimited. The case approach integrates thought, behavior and emotion, categories that work together and influence each other.

It is important to mention that motivation is essential for learning strategies to work. Therefore, we use the motivational model of John Keller, which is based on achieving attention, relevance, trust and satisfaction in the student.

Creative Pedagogy is the key to motivating young people to find the necessary resources to “take off”.

ORGANIZATION OF THE STUDY AND IMPROVEMENT TECHNIQUES IN PRIMARY, SECONDARY AND HIGH SCHOOL

It is important to acquire the appropriate study techniques in order to obtain the best possible academic results. However, these must be complemented with an adequate organization, which is reinforced with the tools that best adapt to the processing of the information of each boy or girl.

During the PRIMARY stage, many children need support in the organization of the study and the application of techniques for better academic performance. In other cases, the need to learn how to study, or review subjects of greater difficulty is given in higher courses, such as SECONDARY, BACHILLER or preparation for test access to middle or higher cycle.

Therefore, in Pedagogía Creativa, we develop our own methodology and study techniques adapted to the needs of each child, in which we pursue the following objectives:

    • Motivate them to study and teach them to create a good work climate.
    • Organize and plan study sessions.
    • Prepare examinations and evaluations.
    • Improve memory and attention.

This workshop is dedicated to helping students analyse which are the instruments and tools that best “order” their elements of study and proceed to a better organization of the study.

    Contents to be worked on:

    • Advantages of being organized.
    • Organizational styles.
    • Different resources for different organizational styles.
    • How to choose and prepare organizational resources.
    • Effective organizational techniques.
    • Facilitating routines.

    INTENSIVE STUDY ON WEEKENDS

Despite the effort made during the week, there are subjects that need a little “boost”. In Pedagogía Creativa (Creative Pedagogy) we develop intensive courses in the weekend periods on Saturday mornings.

In order to improve the organization and techniques we work:

    • How should be my work environment.
    • Organize and plan study sessions, short and medium term.
    • Prepare examinations and evaluations.
    • Learn to underline, summarize and outline.
    • Use concept maps and graphs.
    • Improve memory and attention.

Also, as a pedagogical quality, in Creative Pedagogy:

    • We work with two people per classroom.
    • We carry out periodic coordination with the tutors.
    • We record daily the tasks performed and send copies to parents to check progress.
    • Parent School Sessions included in the student programme with a minimum frequency of 3 sessions per school year.
